Obituary of Eddie Carl Sheets

RURAL RETREAT, Va. Eddie Carl Sheets, age 81, died Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Wilson and Sally Marie Monk Sheets; brother, Jack Sheets; and sister, Maxine D. Stowers. Eddie is survived by his wife, Joyce A. Kegley Sheets; son, Eddie Dean Sheets; sister, Hazel L. Gordon all of Rural Retreat, Va.; sister-in-law, Mary Barrett of Saltville, Va.; special friends, Charlie Hall and Bob Lewis, both of Rural Retreat, Va.; and numerous nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend Arthur Chapman officiating. Burial will be Friday, August 19, 2016 at 2 p.m. in Rosewood Memorial Gardens, Rural Retreat, Va. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
