Obituary of Nellie J. Richardson Campbell

CHILHOWIE, Va. Nellie J. Richardson Campbell, age 78, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Va. She was born February 6, 1938 to the late John Sherman and Mandy Sheets Richardson. Mom was a very loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She will certainly be missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Harry Jackson Campbell. Nellie is survived by her daughter Cara Weller and husband, Nick of Glade Spring, Va.; son, Barry Campbell and wife Sherri of Chilhowie, Va.; step-sons, Larry Campbell and wife, Judy of Rochester, N.Y. and Melvin Campbell and wife, Dianne of Charleston, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Hunter Campbell, Addison Weller, Campbell Weller and Lylah Campbell; numerous step-grandchildren; and special family members, Dolly Osborne and Pam Stamper. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Grosses Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend George Jessee officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Grosses Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
