Obituary of Wesley D. Robertson

MARION, Va. Wesley D. Robertson,Lt. Col, Ret., age 82, died Monday, July 25, 2016 at Valley Health Care Center, Chilhowie, Va. Mr. Robertson served in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years and retired a Lt. Col. Upon retiring, Wesley spent the rest of his work life at Smyth County Community Hospital in the Radiology Department. He was preceded in death by his father, John Robertson; mother, Mildred Watson; and brother, Joe C. Robertson. Mr. Robertson is survived by his wife, Jewell Robertson of Marion, Va.; daughters, Laurel R. Butler of Dacula, Ga. and Leslie M. Robertson of Anchorage, Alaska; son, Andrew C. Robertson of Barrytown, N.Y.; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will gather for a small memorial service with full Military Rites conducted by the U.S. Air Force.
