Obituary of Arlen B. Snider

MARION, Va. ARLEN B. SNIDER, age 80, died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Snider and grandson, Ryan Charles Snider; parents, Conley Ray and Alva Snider; sister, Wilma Sherwood; brothers, Clifton Snider and Landis Snider. Arlen is survived by one daughter, Lisa Snider Carrico and fiancé, James of Marion, Va.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Stephen Boyd and Jill Snider of Wytheville, Va., Charles Kevin and Shannon Snider of Marion, Va., and Phillip Arlen Snider and fiancée, Cindy Green of Chilhowie, Va.; five grandchildren, Angela Snider Reedy and husband, Tyler Glenn Carrico, Joshua Clay Snider, Robert Dalton Snider and Jordan Snider Keyes and husband, Jon; one great-grandchild, Isaac Reedy and two very special caregivers, Robin McCoy and Becky Bobbitt. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mark Lundy officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. Graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery with Military Rites presented by Francis Marion VFW Post # 4667.
