Obituary of Robbie Buchanan

SUGAR GROVE, Va. Robbie “Hickey” Buchanan, age 41, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Robbie was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was a HUGE Raiders fan and when they weren’t playing football, he was watching wrestling. Robbie, even through the pain, sadness or madness, was always smiling. He loved everybody and everybody loved him. “Hickey” will be missed. Robbie is survived by his wife, Tina Buchanan of Sugar Grove, Va.; daughters, Chasity Jones and Brooklyn Buchanan, both of Rural Retreat, Va.; son, Kenny Hinchey of Sugar Grove, Va.; parents, Roger and Carrie Buchanan Gilley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ricky and Shelia Sheets; sister, Michelle Caywood and husband, Joe all of Sugar Grove, Va.; brothers, J.D. Cregger and fiancé, Brandi Griffey of Chilhowie, Va., Chad Gilley of Sugar Grove, Va. and Brandon Gilley and fiancé, Nikki Hayes of Grayson County, Va.; sister-in-law, Melissa Pennington and husband, Sam of Troutdale, Va.; special friend, Tony Davidson and wife, Chellie of Rural Retreat, Va.; several nieces, nephews, and many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 17, 2016 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Billy Gwinn officiating.
