Obituary of Olievene Price Dancy

MARION, Va.: Olievene Price Dancy age 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior April 22, 2016 at her home in Marion, Va. She was a faithful member of the Crossroads Primitive Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. She was known for her unselfish love for her family and church family. She loved cooking, gardening, canning, sewing, quilting and her reading. She was survived by her loving husband of 76 years, Blaine J. Dancy, and her loving children, Ronald “David” Dancy, Judy and Joe Blevins, Barbara and Reverend David Neitch, Jim Dancy, Sam and Brenda Dancy, Joe and Tammy Dancy. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends, Sunday April 24, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, with Elder Larry Blevins and Elder Danny Smith officiating. Graveside Services will be held Monday, April 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Thomas Cemetery in Marion, Va. The family request anyone who wishes to attend the graveside service to please meet at the cemetery.
