Obituary of Robin S. Musser

ABINGDON, Va.: ROBIN S. MUSSER, age 54 of Abingdon, Va. died at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 after a long courageous battle with leukemia. She is survived by her parents, Mike and Carol Musser; two brothers, Mick and Ed Musser; two sisters-in-law, Missi and Lisa Musser; niece, Abby Musser; nephews, Garrett Musser, Ben Musser, Matthew Musser and Andrew Musser, all of Rural Retreat, Va; special aunts, Nancy Keyes of Corbin, Ky and Peggy Rule of Waynesboro, Va. Robin was a graduate of Rural Retreat High School, received her Bachelor’s degree from Piedmont Bible College and her Master’s degree in Counseling, suma cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She worked at the Department of Rehabilitative Services, Commonwealth of Virginia for over 20 years. Our Robin was a true artist with pen, ink, paper and photography. She loved her animals with undying loyalty and care. Robin was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, cousin and friend to us all and we will miss her every day. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Justin Hall officiating. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Va. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of service. The family would like to thank the nurses and Dr. Anthony Desalvo at the Cancer Center of Johnston Memorial Hospital for their love and care of Robin.
