My brother, Tommie Widener, Jr. went to school with Pat and we would sit and he would tell me stories of their high school days. I worked with Pat and he was such a great person and he is the one who told me how I should have my 401k set up, so I guess a friend and a financial advisor. He will be missed by so many. Praying for God to give you all strength and guidance in the days ahead. The memories we have will be precious ones. God bless!!

Pat and I last saw each other at our 40th class reunion class of 1974. Pat arrived a little late. I had been hoping I would see him. I looked over and he was coming thru the door. I ran over to greet him and his wife. He gave
me that great big smile and a warm hug. I told him that I had been waiting to see all night. He said " Diane you just made my night. I will miss see him at the big red pot ringing his bell at Christmas time. I pray for his family to have comfort at this. He will be greatly missed. I think God was so glad to see him and his great big smile.

I am so sorry for you loss. Pat was an amazing man. I have only known Pat for a few years but he would always treat me as he had known me his whole life. He was such a great person I would see him donating his time ringing the bell in the freezing cold. He would be smiling and happy as could be. Pat was a very smart, funny and a good all around person. He once jumped in to help me out at a chili cook off where things were going very badly for me. He stayed with me the entire time, handing out chili and entertaining the crowd. He didn't have to do it, but he did it anyway. He will be greatly missed.
