Obituary of Linda Ross Russell

SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: LINDA ROSS RUSSELL, age 64, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Katherine Ross. Linda was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet. She would rather give than receive. Linda was a loving and wonderful wife, mother, and nanny. If she was your friend, you had the best. When she was well, she was faithful to her church, Freedom Tabernacle. Her love and dependence on her Lord never waivered. Linda’s presence in the lives of her family and friends will be missed very much, but her spirit and memories will be forever felt. She is survived by her husband, Roger Russell of Sugar Grove, Va.; her father, Ivan “Peanut” Ross of Sugar Grove, Va.; her children, Edwin Russell and special friend, Annina Pollanen of Abingdon, Va., David Russell of Marion, Va., and step-daughter, Tammy Thomas and husband, Ricky of Marion, Va.; one brother, Ivan Eugene Ross and wife, Anita of Sugar Grove, Va.; grandchildren, Erian Russell of Abingdon, Sean Greer, Jacob and Jordan Thomas, all of Marion, Va.; special niece, Cynthia Osborne of Sugar Grove, Va. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at Seaver-Brown Chapel at 6:00 p.m., with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Graveside services will be Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Slemp Cemetery in Sugar Grove, Va.
