Obituary of Lena Mae Umbarger

Lena Mae Umbarger, 86, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. She was born on November 15, 1929, in Virginia, to the late William and Molly Cox Gross. Mom enjoyed her years as a homemaker, making sure her family was well fed and taken care of. She enjoyed gardening, especially time planting and maintaining her flowers. Her grandchildren were certainly the apple of her eye, along with her newest great-granddaughter! She will certainly be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 plus years, Ted Cecil Umbarger; and numerous brothers. Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her daughter, Becky Jednorski and husband, William of Perry Hall, MD; son, Ted Franklin Umbarger of Baltimore, MD; 2 grandchildren, Daniel Authenreath of Perry Hall, MD and Karen Umbarger of Baltimore, MD; 1 great-granddaughter, Isabel Authenreath of Perry Hall, MD; 2 brothers, Jimmy and Bob Gross, both of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel in Marion. Entombment will follow in Rose Lawn Mausoleum.
