Frieda and family: It was with deep regret that I learned of Gene's death. I remember with fondness our many associations while living in Marion, especially our many years together at Brunswick. Our prayers for your comfort and support during this time.

It always was a blast being around my uncle Gene and aunt Frieda. Gene never failed to put a smile on my face whether it was him smacking down 5 red threes onto the table while playing hand and foot, watching The Last Samurai or just a casual conversation, he always knew how to lighten up the mood. His well spirited way of life and light heartedness always made every visit a special experience because laughter was always ensured when he was present.
As the first law of thermodynamics states, Energy cannot be created or destroyed but only transformed. The energy of your life will NEVER be destroyed but transformed into warmth. A warmth that will surround your family and your friends, a warmth that we will always be able to feel forever. You will be greatly missed Uncle Gene and you will always have a place in my heart! I cannot wait to see you again! I Love You and miss you!

It will not be the same without Uncle Gene. Growing up and into adulthood, we've always looked forward to our time with Uncle Gene, Aunt Freida, Gordon and Coleen. His wonderful sense of humor and loving nature drew us in. We are very fortunate that our children were able to get to know him as well. He will always live in our hearts! Our sympathies are with you.
