Obituary of Jean Sayers Bailey

MARION, Va.: JEAN SAYERS BAILEY, age 90, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Smyth County Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents Clay and Beatrice Sayers; brothers, Ernest Ercell Sayers and Harry Sayers; sisters, Sybil Slemp and Louise Sayers. Mrs. Bailey is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Paris Bailey of Marion, Va.; sons, William P. Bailey, II and wife, Linda Haulsee Bailey of Talbott Tn., and Dennis Wayne Bailey of Abingdon, Va.; grandchild, William Rodger Bailey; great-grandchild, William Aaron Bailey; great-great-grandchild, William Carson Bailey; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 27, 2015 at 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
