Coach, Brian, and family,
I find it hard to choose any words that can make a difference in this situation. Just know that you all have more support and prayers than you likely know. Mrs. Walker was one of my big inspirations, after a performance of singing in chorus concert, variety show or basketball game, she would always say great job Billy Joe, I told you could do it, she would also say and give me a big hug. She was one of the best teachers Smyth county schools has had. She will be missed very much and will be loved always and remembered. I send all my prayers and condolences to the family. God bless!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I met years ago when I worked at WCC. Scott, Julie and Michael were all very young. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Was always so upbeat and had a smile on her face. Lost track of her after she moved to Marion, but thought of her often.

My condolences and prayers to family and friends. Senora Walker, Suarez as I knew her, tried to teach me to speak Spanish for three years. Amazingly, I retained enough of it to communicate with my Latino work force in the construction industry. I get a lot of laughs from those guys and my poor language skills. I should have paid closer attention to her. Muchas gracias Senora. Godspeed. Class of 1988. GWHS.

Coach Walker,

I am so sorry to hear of Frau Walker's passing. I had her as my German professor my first year at Emory & Henry, and she was such a kind hearted and passionate soul. She would come into class every single day like it was the best part of the day, although I'm sure she came to every class that way. If everyone approached life with the joy and enthusiasm she had, the world would be a much better place.
I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing her with so many students. She touched my life in the short time I knew her, and I know she touched the lives of many others.
