Obituary of Carl Billings

MARION, Va.: CARL EUGENE "GENE" BILLINGS, age 70, died Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Mr. Billings was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. Gene enjoyed helping people. He was always a friendly face and would offer a hand if anyone ever needed it at the McMullin Convenience Center in the Adwolfe area. He was loved and will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Carl Billings; and two sisters. Gene is survived by his wife, Lois Marie Billings of Marion, Va.; one daughter, Melissa Richardson and husband, Adam of Fla.; three step-daughters, Angela M. Harris and husband, Johnny of Rich Valley, Va., Amy L. Buchanan and husband, Glenn of Marion, Va., and Deborah S. Stiltner and husband, Richard of Rich Valley, Va.; two step-sons, Jerry W. Stamper of Haysi, Va. and James D. Stamper and wife, Jennifer of Chilhowie, Va.; and seventeen grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Kenny Price officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday, November 9, 2015 at 11a.m. at Comers Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Troutdale, Va.
