Obituary of Della Grubb

ATKINS, Va.: DELLA GRUBB, age 83, died Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Wythe County Community Hospital, Wytheville, Va. Della was an amazing mother, and loving grandmother. She was kind to anyone she met. Della always had a smile on her face and a nice word to say. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Grubb; parents, Harry and Bessie Calhoun Moore; brothers, Raymond Moore, Frank Moore and Harry T. Moore, Jr. Della is survived by a daughter, Shirley Ann Grubb Gross and husband, Richard of Atkins, Va.; two sons, Cecil F. Grubb, Jr. of Marion, Va. and James Grubb of Atkins, Va.; sister, Zorada Moore of Atkins, Va.; twelve grandchildren, Myrtle Campbell, Melissa Gross, Amy Widener, Heather Herron, Christina Grubb, Mindy Grubb, Tina Grubb, Jamie Marshall, Susie Grubb, Charlie Grubb, Nick Grubb and Robert Gross; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery.
