Obituary of Patricia Idol

MARION, Va. PATRICIA IDOL, age 49, died Saturday, October 17, 2015 at her home in Marion. Patricia was a friend to many, when God made her, He broke the mold. She was one of a kind. Patricia loved Duck Dynasty, Alan Jackson and Alabama. She loved having fun with her family and friends. Patricia will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Edward Idol. Patricia is survived by the love of her life, David Eugene Shew; mother, Irene Musser Idol; one sister, Shelia Renee Parks and husband, Tony, all of Marion, Va.; brother, Edward Dewayne Idol and wife, Jennifer of Speedwell, Va.; nieces, Alisha Parks, Amy Parks and special friend, Nathan Burton; aunts and uncles, F.B. Musser, Peggy Ann Caudill, Clarice McGrady and husband, Robert, Linda Firestone and husband, William; and many friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Herman Cress and Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Rose Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
