Obituary of Alton Hutton
MARION, Va.: ALTON DELMORE "A.D." HUTTON age 78, died Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his home in Marion, Va.
A.D. was retired from the Department of Corrections with 32 years of service. He loved his family and farming with his John Deere tractors. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music. A.D. was a member of The Church of Christ in Marion. He was well loved and will be missed by his family and community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmen and Lillian Hutton; brother, Basil Hutton and wife, Barbara; and nephew, Benji Hutton.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Betty Poston Hutton of Marion, Va.; four daughters, Teresa Parks and partner Bill Hutton, Tammy Romans and husband Bill, Karen Richardson and husband Jeff all of Marion, Va. and Patty Bridges and husband Darrell of Atkins, Va.; three sons, Michael Hutton and partner Karen Martin, Jason Hutton and fiancée, Tracy Stephenson and Shannon Hutton and wife, Melissa all of Marion, Va.; three sisters, Aloma Walton and husband, Vic of Newport, N.C., Sharon Quesinberry of Abingdon, Va., and Velda Frye of Marion, Va.; two brothers, Rabon Hutton and wife, Barbara of Marion, Va. and Conway Hutton of Saltville, Va.; thirteen grandchildren, Brandon Parks, Brian Parks, Adam Richardson, Andrew Bridges, Logan Bridges, Bradley Hutton, Zachary Hutton, Hunter Romans, Jody Romans, Holly Richardson, Aren Taylor, Hannah Bridges and Emily Hutton; two great-grandchildren, Norah Olinger and Cambria Parks; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Southwest Virginia, Mountain States Home Care, and members of The Church of Christ for their compassion and loving care for our family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Mr. Paul Vaughn and Mr. Conway Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Wassum Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
