I was SO sorry to hear about the death of Velma. We loved her at Gethsemane Baptist Church. We spent many wonderful years with Ms. Velma. She was an inspiration to us all. She will always live in our hearts and memories. We are praying for the loved ones that are left behind. May you find comfort in our Lord Jesus Christ as we know that Velma is there now with many of our loved ones. God Bless you all.

It was our pleasure to know this sweet lady (especially Don's memories of her kindness and caring toward him). Mrs. Velma Cook will be remembered for her wonderful conversation when we last visited, her wit and great smile. Rest well little lady, you are with Jesus and we know we will see you again one day.

Ronnie and Nancy, We are so sorry for your loss. Your mom was always so nice to Don and I loved the conversations we had over the past years. Our Lord Jesus must be very happy to see this great lady. She had such an engaging personality. We will pray for your peace in the days ahead Ronnie and Nancy--you did well for your mother. Love, Kitty and Don

I remember Velma from a very long time ago: Although sad to hear of her passing I know she is at peace with her Savior. She was a sweet wonderful lady and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. I haven't seen her in years (since I was a child, in fact), but she left a lasting impression and as soon as I saw her picture and read her name I remembered her as if it were yesterday. She is now in heaven with my parents Joe & Kevie Stone. Lord Bless the family as the face the trying days before them. May you have peace from the Memories you will carry with you. Love & Prayers, Ella (Stone) Hanson, Las Vegas, NV (Formerly Aquasco, MD)
