Obituary of Swanson Eastridge

ROANOKE, VIRGINIA: SWANSON DALE EASTRIDGE, JR. age 67, died Sunday, July 5, 2015. Dale was the most kind hearted person you'd ever meet. It didn't matter if he was sick, standing in the rain or cold, he would do what ever he could to help someone. He was a man of much love and many chances. Dale had a sweet tooth and a sweet place in his heart for his "full time job" - Mildred, his wife of 46 years. His gentle way with family, grandchildren, friends and animals will be missed by so many. He served his Lord, his country with the U.S. Air Force and his family in so many ways. Dale Eastridge was just a good man. He is survived by his wife Mildred Anderson Eastridge; daughter, Sue Jennings and husband, William all of Roanoke, Virginia; brothers, Tommy Eastridge and wife, Trudy of Radford, Virginia and John Allen Eastridge of Marion, Virginia; three grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
