Obituary of Charles Horne

RICH VALLEY, VIRGINIA: CHARLES W. HORNE, age 65, died Sunday, March 1, 2015 at his home in Rich Valley, Virginia. Charles was born February 5, 1950 in Smyth County, Virginia to the late James Wiley and Dorothy Crow Horne. He was a caring man who was crazy about his grandchildren. A man of few words, he loved his family and they knew it. If he could be outdoors, that is where you would find him, hunting, fishing or working. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry Horne and Duane Horne. Charles is survived by his daughter, Connie Henderson; grandsons, Ryan Henderson and Alex Henderson; sisters, Dottie Malone and husband, Tommy of Kearneysville, West Virginia, Bonnie Fowler and husband, Howard of Dickerson, Maryland and Betty Strouth of Rich Valley, Virginia; brother, Bobby Horne and wife, Dolores of Ranson, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastors Todd and Tammy Porter and Pastor Andy Parkey officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Community Cemetery, Ceres, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
