Obituary of Thomas Harrison

MARION, VIRGINIA: THOMAS MELVIN HARRISON, age 80, died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Summit of Rocky Top, Rocky Top, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Elee and Minnie McElfresh Harrison; daughter, Dianna Marie Hicks; sister, Joyce L. Blaylock and brother, Robert Paul Harrison. Mr. Harrison is survived by his wife, Betty F. Harrison of Marion, Virginia; children, Sylvia Estes of Roanoke, Virginia, Thomas Melvin Harrison, Jr. of Missouri, Timothy Allen Harrison and wife, Cheryl of Missouri, Joseph Dale Harrison and wife, Jennifer of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Laura S. Dygert and husband, Kevin of Charleston, South Carolina, Christy Robin Campbell and special friend, Bobbie Griffey of Saltville, Virginia; brother, Herbert Dale Harrison and wife, Shelia of Missouri; two special grandchildren, Jaden Griffey and Joy Harrison; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his beloved poodle Princess. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Darrell Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post #4667.
