Obituary of Rita Davidson

SALTVILLE, VIRGINIA: RITA HOLMES DAVIDSON, age 66, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia. She was born August 8, 1948 in Smyth County, Virginia to the late James and Beulah Casey Holmes. If you knew Rita, you knew she was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved life and loved the people in her life. She was a teacher's aide at Mt. Cap for 4 years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Frye and two brothers, Jeff Holmes and William "Scrap" Holmes. Rita is survived by her husband, of 48 years, Bobby Davidson of Saltville, Virginia; daughters, Sherri Renee Davidson and husband, Roy of Saltville, Virginia and Kristi Faulkner of Roanoke, Virginia; sons, Tony Davidson and wife Chellie of Rural Retreat, Virginia and Tim Davidson of Marion, Virginia; sisters, Linda Surber of Saltville, Virginia and Louise Simms of Michigan; brothers, Bob Holmes and Jim Holmes, both of Saltville, Virginia and Jerry Holmes of North Carolina; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
