Obituary of Gerald Moore

MARION, VIRGINIA: GERALD GLENN MOORE, age 60, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his home in Marion, Virginia. Gerald was born August 4, 1954 in Smyth County, Virginia. He worked at General Dynamics for many years and was a loyal Virginia Tech Hokies fan. Gerald enjoyed watching television and networking, socializing and playing games on the computer. He was preceded in death by his father, Willis G. Moore. Gerald is survived by his mother, Bessie Levitt Johnson of Marion, Virginia; brothers, Darrell Moore and wife, Janice of Kingsport, Tennessee and Terry Moore and wife, Linda of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Jennifer Havens and husband, William of Glade Spring, Virginia; step-sister, Donna Stevenson and husband, Dale of Rural Retreat, Virginia; nephews, Matthew Moore, Mark Moore, Chris Moore and wife, Megan, Eric Moore, Ryan Barnett and wife, Ashley, Shawn Havens and Derek Aker; great-niece, Oakleigh Moore; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many good friends and his beloved pets, dog - Soxx and cat - Susie. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Mr. Blake Frazier officiating. Graveside Services will follow in Ridgedale Cemetery, Rich Valley, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday, afternoon from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
