To all that knew and loved Barbara: If I know her she is asking Jesus right now what the next project is up in Heaven! What a fabulous and encouraging person to have known in my life. I had known Barbara since the time I moved to Southwest Virginia over 15 years ago. She was such a mother figure to me and to many others I'm sure. She was always trying to help, direct, and council you into the direction she thought was best for you. She had a big heart! You could laugh with her, cry with her, tell her your deepest troubles and she would listen with an open ear. Whether you were rich or poor she would approach you just the same. What a great family legacy she has left behind too. I know I will see her again in heaven one day and I am sure she will have lots to tell me about this new place. She loved people and will forever be in my heart. She will be missed by many and was the type of person that if you met her just one time you would always remember that meeting. For every person you meet down here on earth there will only be a small percentage that will have a lasting impact on the rest of your life......Barbara was one of those people in my life. Hmmmmm where do I start? It wasn't but a couple of weeks ago I was sitting beside you in a brokers meeting. You were talking about volunteering and doing as much as possible. You kept going. You didn't let your illness get you down. I think it was that bit of stubborness you have in you. Yes I have to say it was stubborness. There were times we had to put on our Realtor coats and battle it out between us but you and I together always seemed to pull them together in the end. You encouraged me and pushed me and last year when I was ready to quit due to personal issues you gave me that strict talking to you always like to give me. There were other personal issues that you and I confided in each other in also. I knew I could always talk to you and you wouldnt judge me or share my secrets with. I love you and will miss you until we meet again. I have one request. Make sure my mansion is next door to yours. RIP my friend. Prayers to the family. You had a caring mom and grandma.
