Obituary of Rebecca Carter

MARION, VIRGINIA: REBECCA ANN "BECKY" CARTER, age 45, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in Pulaksi, Virginia. Becky was born in Marion, Virginia. She was a devoted and loving mother and shared a very special bond with her daughter Brittney. Becky loved children and was very fond of her nieces and nephews. Family was as important to her as she was to them. Becky will be missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, of more than 25 years Charles "Chuck" Carter. Becky is survived by her daughter, Brittney King and husband, Jeff of Pulaski, Virginia; parents, Larry and Monnie Barker of Marion, Virginia; brother, Arthur Barker and wife, Amy of Sugar Grove, Virginia; grandmother, Della Barker of Marion, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Otis Barker officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
