Obituary of Polly Haga

MARION, VIRGINIA: POLLY NORMA LEE PAFFORD HAGA, age 73, died Saturday, July 19, 2014 in Kingsport, Tennessee. Polly was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a long time member of Falling Water Baptist Church. She loved to cook and her friends loved to eat her chicken and dumplings, angel food cake and zucchini bread. Polly retired after 25 years as the operating room technician at Smyth County Community Hospital. She was always upbeat and smiling and will be missed greatly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy T. Haga; parents, Roy Randolph Pafford and Josie Christine Osborne Pafford; brothers, James Carson Pafford, Sidney Sherill Pafford and his wife, Mildred Pafford. Polly is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie Dean and wife, Lori Haga and James Douglas Haga all of Marion, Virginia; sister, Eva Mae Hutton and husband, Jeff of Marion, Virginia; brothers, Cecil Emmit Pafford and wife Patricia of Chilhowie, Virginia, Garvey Ray Pafford and wife Pat of Memphis, Tennessee and Joseph Randolph Pafford and wife Shirley of Glade Spring, Virginia; three grandchildren, Allison Nicole Rabara, Treemont Christopher Haga and Cayla Christine Haga; one great-granddaughter, Abigail Jane Rabara; three special friends. Carolyn Jones, Debbie Davidson and Karen Kiser; along with many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Jerry Creasy and Reverend Tim Boyette officiating. Private burial will be in Hutton Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until time of service.
