Obituary of Sue Morris

MARION, VIRGINIA: SUE ANN ESTEP MORRIS, age 70 died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in Port Charlotte, Florida after a long struggle with illness conducted with the gallantry and good cheer that characterized her whole life. She was born on April 9, 1944 to Sherrill Estep and Joanne Wylie Estep. She graduated from Marion High School in Marion, Virginia where she grew up. She was proud to have been for many years a medical recruiter and non-commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Reserves. Sue Ann was predeceased by her husband, Ron Morris, her companion, Lester Moore, her parents, her adoptive parents, Clara Nell and Lanson Estep, and a brother Philip Estep. She is survived by her brothers, Harold Estep of San Antonio, TX, Richard Estep of Port Charlotte, FL, Col. James Estep of Jonas Ridge, NC, Robert Estep of Rural Retreat, VA; and sister, Carol Thomas of Abingdon, VA. She is also survived by her step-children, Hilary Barrere and Erin Callahan and their children, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Attoway Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
