CERES, VIRGINIA: WILLIAM GARVIN "BILLY" "SCOOBY" SHUPE, JR., age 52, formerly of Wytheville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Greendale Assisted Living in Abingdon, Virginia. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Linda Shupe; sister, Laura Wylie; grandparents, Mary and June Shupe; several aunts and uncles including special aunt Pauline Cregger; and a special cousin, Sammy Shupe. He is survived by a sister, Debbie Totten and husband, James of Marion, Virginia; aunts and uncles, Bill Cregger of Wytheville, Virginia; Johnny and Susie Shupe, Mike and Dori Shupe, all of Ceres, Virginia; William and Dori Ellison of Marion, Virginia; Betty Hensley of Atkins, Virginia; Donna Shupe of Rich Valley, Virginia and Nancy Umbarger of Chilhowie, Virginia; three special family babies, Alexis, Bryan and Sabrina; several cousins; special friend Daniel Artrip; adopted maw, Jennifer Greene and many more special friends and caregivers at Greendale Assisted Living that he loved as he did his own family, with all his heart. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Steve Hutton officiating. Graveside Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Cemetery in Nebo, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
