Obituary of Gracie Anderson

MARION, VIRGINIA: GRACIE SMITH ANDERSON, age 86, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 8, 2014 at her home in Marion, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Anderson; infant daughter, Betty Sue Anderson; parents, James and Anna Mae Smith; brothers, Fred, Jim and Jeff Smith; and sisters, Nancy McGrady and Glenna Baldwin. Gracie is survived by a daughter, Brenda Anderson of Marion, Virginia; five sisters, Elizabeth Ewald and husband, Tommy of Atkins, Virginia, Martha Jones and husband, Bill of Abingdon, Virginia, Margaret Osborne and husband, Robert of Marion, Virginia, Mary Jones and husband, Ronny of Marion, Virginia, and Patricia Nunley and husband, Jim of Atkins, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews and her church family at East End Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Tim Parker officiating. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
