Obituary of Lola Dolinger
MARION, VIRGINIA: LOLA MAE OSBORNE WILES DOLINGER, 90, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in hospice care in Ocala, Florida.
Lola was born on March 7, 1924, in Grayson County, Virginia, to the late Brack and Belzona Osborne. She worked at Harwood in Marion, VA, and the Bank of America in Alexandria, VA. She and Garnie retired to their beloved Grayson County where they were very active in the Rugby Rescue Squad and Fire Department, their church and family. Lola was a very loving mother, grandmother, and aunt.
Lola was the last surviving sibling of the nine Osborne children. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garnie Dolinger, in 2004.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters: Judi Wiles Harrison (John) of Piney Flats, TN, and Linda Wiles Blair of Ocala, FL.; stepson: Phil Dolinger (Vicki) of Herndon, VA; grandchildren; Kim Johnson (Scott) of Apex, NC, Will Blair (Kim) of Tampa, FL, Angela Blair of Ocala, FL, James Dolinger (Tara) of Birmingham, AL, and Amy Dolinger of Nairobi, Kenya; great grandchildren: Josh Johnson of Apex, NC and Brooklyn Blair of Tampa, FL, and many nieces and nephews including special nephew Ken Osborne of Marion, VA.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Haw Orchard Baptist Church, in Grayson County with Reverend Avery Sheets officiating. Burial will follow in Haw Orchard Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
