Obituary of Martha Hash

ATKINS, VIRGINIA: MARTHA PENNINGTON HASH, age 96, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at Francis Marion Manor, Marion, Virginia. Martha was born May 28, 1917 to the late Floyd and Jennie Calhoun Pennington. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bradford Hash; sisters, Ruth Vernon and Edith McCleary; brother, William F. Pennington; and nephew, Gerald McCleary. She was a lifelong member and the oldest member of the Cedar Bluff Baptist Church, had attended Marion College and worked for over 30 years at Harwood Manufacturing. Martha is survived by her brother, Edward Pennington and wife Zenna of Marion, Virginia; nieces, Toni White, Peggy Williams, Pamela Anderson, Darlene Dean and very special niece, Debra Hagy. Funeral service will be held Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Alan Moor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia.
