Obituary of Nancy Coe

ATKINS, VIRGINIA: NANCY SURBER COE, age 73, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 surrounded by her family at her home in Atkins, Virginia. Nancy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and special friend to us all. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Coe; and parents, James and Blanche Surber. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Osborne and Kathy Jones and husband, Tony, a son-in-law she loved as a son all of Atkins, Virginia; sisters, Ruth Sharitz of Marion Virginia, Carol Choate and husband Jesse of Sugar Grove, Virginia; brother, Jim Surber and wife, Phyllis of Atkins, Virginia; grandchildren, James Coe and wife, Ellen of Sugar Grove, Virginia, Hope Lefler of Atkins, Virginia, Heather Smithson and husband, Bobby of Atkins, Virginia and Chris Jones of Marion,Virginia; great-grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Kallie, Kendra, Payton and Kage; and a several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 25, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Otis Barker and Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Virginia. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
