Obituary of Delmas Jackson
SUGAR GROVE, VIRGINIA: DELMAS "RANDY" RANDOLPH JACKSON SR., age 62, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion, Virginia.
He was born May 21, 1951 in Wytheville, Virginia and attended Scott Memorial Elementary School, Carnegie High School and Marion Senior High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmas Lee Jackson and Matty Hawkins Jackson; brothers, Rodney Jackson, Claudie Jackson and Robert "Sonny" Jackson; sister, Mildred Jackson Littlejohn Hall; and daughter-in-law, LaNina Hawthorne Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Lee Jackson, sons, Delmas "Squeakie" Randolph Jackson, Jr. and fiancée, Tina Perkins, Kenneth "Tyke" Patrick Jackson and wife, Khandri-Ann "Kim" Jackson, William Jeffrey Austin and wife, Michele Austin, Gregory Lee Yette; daughters Celia LoRen Yette, Cynthia Hope Yette; grandchildren, Shawn Jackson, Shanic Jackson, Shane Jackson, Travious Yette, Anjo Yette, Lael Turner, Mary Perkins and Caleb Perkins; brother, Michael, "Mike" Jackson and wife Brenda Jackson; sister, Dixie Jackson; Godchildren, Jessica Holman, Michael "Eddie" Jackson and Shia Boyd; In-laws, Anne Jackson and William "Billy" Hall; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Bishop Nolan Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Slemp Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
