Obituary of John Snider

MARION, VIRGINIA: MR. JOHN T. SNIDER, Jr., age 91, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 in Johnson City, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mrs. Julia "Jay" Snider of Marion, Virginia; two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Duane Snider and Jeff and Gwyn Snider; three grandsons, Keith Snider, Wade Snider and Mitchell Snider; one granddaughter, Karen Bowman and husband Jeff ; two great-granddaughters, Amber Nicole Bowman and Augusta Noelle Bowman; two great-grandsons, Austin Nicholas Bowman and Aren Nevada Bowman; two step-grandsons, Joseph Ruckert and wife, Lucia and Quincy Ruckert; three sisters, Hilda Snider Weatherly of Bristol, Virginia; Gloria Snider Adamson of Baltimore, Maryland and Jean Snider Parks of Kernersville, North Carolina. Services will be celebrated Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Church in Marion, Virginia with Father Frances Musolooza officiating. Private Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery in Marion, Virginia. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Building Fund, 124 Park Blvd., Marion, VA 24354.
