Obituary of Margaret Catron
MARION, VIRGINIA: MARGARET HAZEL PARSONS CATRON, age 94 died Monday, March 17, 2014 at her home in Laurens, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Catron; parents Belvia and Carl Parsons; sister, Lockie Copenhaver and brother Homer Parsons.
Mrs. Catron, was born May 2, 1919 and a proud Sugar Grove graduate. She enjoyed a life well lived and much loved by all of her family, especially the people in her life that called her Mamaw. Her love for her grandchildren was made known by the smile on her face. A woman of the Christian faith, Mrs. Catron was so appreciative of God's handy work and always loved beautiful flowers.
Mrs. Catron is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Babb and husband, Coleman of Laurens, South Carolina; one brother, Carl A. Parsons, Jr. of Sugar Grove, Virginia; two grandchildren, Kimberly Tindall and husband, James and Karman Gilbert all of Laurens, South Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Nicole Tindall and Wil Tindall; one great-great-grandchild, Alyce Tindall.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, Marion, Virginia with Reverend Kenny Price and Reverend Billy Gwinn officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion, Virginia. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
