Obituary of James Cregger

CHILHOWIE, VIRGINIA: MR. JAMES CREGGER, SR. age 68 went to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas J. and Minnie Shupe Cregger; an infant grandson, Charles Cregger, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Landon, Charles, Harry, Maxie and Catherine Cregger. Mr. Cregger is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Carol Cregger of Chilhowie, Virginia; two sons, James Cregger, Jr. and fiancée, Nancy of Saltville, Virginia and Charles Cregger and girlfriend, Tracy of Chilhowie, Virginia; daughter, Virginia "Missy" Armstrong and husband, Robert of Saltville, Virginia; grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, Carolyn Armstrong and fiancé, Junior of Saltville, Virginia, Reva Cregger of Chilhowie, Virginia, J.R. Armstrong, J.D. Cregger, Lori Armstrong, Steven Armstrong, Shayanna Armstrong, Skyler Armstrong, Jennifer Pakacki and Jaymyanna Pakacki all of Saltville, Virginia, Tiffany Combs and Brianna Combs both of Marion, Virginia; four sisters, Daisy Bumgardner of Louisiana, Mary Ann Cregger and husband Joel "Chig" Cregger of Ceres, Virginia, Louise Aplanda and husband, Dwayne of Marion, Virginia and Polly Hayton and husband, Frank of Bland, Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Community Cemetery, Nebo, Virginia. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
