Obituary of Sandra Jurkiewicz

CHILHOWIE, VIRGINIA: SANDRA SMITH JURKIEWICZ, age 69, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Heartland Holly Glen in Toledo, Ohio. She was born January 9, 1945 to the late Paul and Elizabeth Harper Smith. Sandy was a member of Davis United Methodist Church in Atkins, Virginia and was an excellent cook. She attended Marion College and Brown University and lived in many places. The proudest moment in her life was when she became a mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don S. Jurkiewicz. Sandy is survived by her son, Jon Jurkiewicz of Toledo, Ohio, Jon's half brother Todd Jurkiewicz and wife, Toni of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; three sisters, Peggy Smith Goodman, Patsy Smith Bales and Connie Smith all of Marion, Virginia; two brothers, William D. Smith of Marion, Virginia and Paul D. Smith and wife, Karen of Broadway, Virginia; and one step-granddaughter, Amy Katherine Jurkiewicz. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend William Schoeneman officiating.
