Obituary of Thelma Leonard

ATKINS, VIRGINIA: THELMA BOLT LEONARD, age 83, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia. She was born March 26, 1930 to the late Ray and Blanche Sexton Bolt. She was employed by the Blue Ridge Job Corp and retired after 22 years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Michelle Leonard. Thelma is survived by one son, Kevin Leonard and wife, Beulah; two daughters, Shirley Pratt and husband, C.W. all of Atkins, Virginia and Nancy Ford and husband, Dr. Phillip Ford III of Memphis, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jason Pratt and wife Paige, Sara Carty and husband, Homer and Patrick Ford; and one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Pratt. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Bill McCollian officiating. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Wassum Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening following the Funeral Service at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
