Obituary of Clinton Sexton
MARION, VIRGINIA: CLINTON ODELL SEXTON, age 65, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia.
Odell Sexton was a devoted husband of more than forty four years, a proud father, grandfather and friend to anyone who knew him. For years Odell was just about "everybody in the country's Insurance Man". He enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing, golfing with his children and grandchildren and dog training with his wife. People and service were important to Odell; he enjoyed his time as a Civitan member. Over the years, Odell was always very active with church. Whether it was leading the choir, serving as a deacon or helping with the lights in a children's play, he enjoyed serving his church and his Lord. Being the proud Virginia Tech graduate, Odell put his business degree and experience to work just a few years ago with one of his proudest ventures, Odell's Market and Deli. If you met him or knew Odell, there was no doubt you'd found a friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Junior Sexton; and a sister, Sharon Rouse.
Odell is survived by his wife Judy Sexton of Marion, Virginia; two daughters, Tricia Kovacs and husband, Jason of Seattle, Washington and Tina Frazier and husband, Blake; two sons, Eric Sexton and girlfriend, Cindy Hancock, Robbie Sexton and fiancée, Jessica Barr; mother, Lois Sexton; one sister, Martha Coley and husband, Roger; one brother, Arnold Sexton and wife, Joyce all of Marion, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Ellen, Clementine, Drew, Amos, Hallie, Lyndee, Jonna and Jalissa; and several nieces and nephews.
