Obituary of Brenda Heath

GREENSBORO, NC: Brenda J. Heath, age 72, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2013, at Moses Cone hospital in Greensboro, NC following injuries she sustained following a series of falls. Formerly of Marion, VA, she was the widow of John W. Heath Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard W. Leonard; her mother, Ethel Keyes Leonard; a brother, Richard "Ricky" W. Leonard Jr.; and a sister, Linda Sue Leonard, all of Marion, VA. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Pamela Heath of Marion, VA; one daughter, Karen Heath Saad of Greensboro, NC; and one son, Greg Heath of Greensboro, NC. At her request, there will be a private service, and, on her birthday, her ashes will be spread by the family at Myrtle Beach - her favorite place on earth. She was affectionately known as "Mama Brenda" to kids on Fairground Hill, and especially enjoyed working as Santa's helper for the Marion WalMart for several years. She was devoted to her pets, especially her dogs "Sparky" and "Sebastian".
