Obituary of Peggy Harris
MARION, VIRGINIA: PEGGY WYMER HARRIS, age 75, went to be with the Lord she knew so well, Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Carrington Place in Wytheville, Virginia.
She was born February 8, 1938 in Marion, Virginia to the late Louis and Nevada Williams Wymer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Malcolm Lee Harris and Delmar Neal "Chip" Harris, Jr.; six sisters, Lillie Carney, Helen Taylor, Iris Wymer, Nina Wymer, Joy Williams and Violet Slagle; two brothers, Riley Fred "Bud" Wymer and Oscar Gene Wymer.
Peggy is survived by one daughter, Teresa Harris Porter and husband, Reverend Virgil Porter of Max Meadows, Virginia; two sons, Allen Harris and wife, Sara of Wytheville, Virginia and Dale Harris and wife, Martha of Atkins, Virginia; one brother, Robert Wymer and wife, Betty of Marion, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Daniel Porter and wife, Frances, Malcolm "Bob" Porter and wife, Ruth, Summer Kohari and husband, Brad, A.J. Harris and fiancée, Becky Wolford, Jonathan Harris and wife, Cheyenne, Jeffery Harris and Ethan Harris; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew Porter, Aaron Porter, Aliyah Porter, Autumn Porter, Deborah Porter, Logan Kohari and Elijah Harris; and special nephew, Freddie Williams and wife, Diane.
She is also survived by a special son in the Lord, Mike Newman and wife, Wanda; and special friends Beverly Haddock and husband Ed Whitmore, and all of her friends at Siloam Gospel Tabernacle.
Private Graveside Services will be held at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.
The Family will receive friends Friday, December 13, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the home of Allen and Sara Harris, 111 Dabney Drive, Wytheville, Virginia.
