Obituary of Linda Guy

MARION, VIRGINIA: LINDA GAYLE GUY, Age 59, Died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia. Linda was born on May 29, 1954 in Independence, Grayson County, Virginia. She was retired, having worked at Maple Grove for thirteen years. She enjoyed simplicity and the simple pleasures in life. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Linda was devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband of forty years, William O. Guy; two daughters, Penny Wortman and Sherry Smith and husband, Rick all of Marion, Virginia; mother, Edna Peake of Sparta, North Carolina; three sisters, Inez Worrell and Barbara Forrester both of Sparta, North Carolina, and Diana Haga of Saltville, Virginia; three grandchildren, Emily Smith, Caleb Wortman, and Hannah Wortman, all of Marion, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, with Mr. James Worrell and Mr. Doug Haga officiating. Private burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery.
