Obituary of Patricia Kirk
JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA: MS. PATRICIA GAYLE KIRK, age 46, passed away Sunday, July 28th, 2013.
She was born in Orlando, Florida on November 8, 1966, daughter of Mr. Clarence (Dale) Kirk and of the late Mrs. Mary Jean Kirk of Gainesville, Georgia. During her youth she resided in Sarasota, Florida and then moved to Gainesville, Georgia where she attended Johnson High School. She received an associate's degree from Gainesville State College and her B.S. in nursing degree from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. Patricia practiced nursing as a critical care nurse at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida for thirteen years and at Orange Park Medical Center in Orange Park, Florida for two years. She was a licensed registered nurse for the state of Florida since 1999. During her time practicing she resided in Jacksonville, Florida, where she actively took part in her community, acted as President for Critical Care Nursing and enjoyed working with her fellow staff members in providing excellence in patient care. During her life she also enjoyed animals, travel, and antiquing. Patricia was dearly loved by her family, coworkers and friends. She will be missed for her willingness to give and help those around her. In addition to her mother, Patricia was preceded in death by her grandparents Olen and Mary Ruth Cassell, Carl Kirk and Pearl Kirk.
Patricia is survived by her father Clarence (Dale) Kirk, brother William
Kirk and wife, Ashley, nephews Dylan Kirk and Jackson Kirk, along with her best friend Kami Poole-Warder; uncles, Dean Kirk and wife, Nancy, Frank Cassell and wife, Margaret; aunts, Norma Kidd, Louise Meck, Martha Bowman and husband, George, Doris Foglesong and husband, Sheridan, and Carol Crabtree and husband Gary; many cousins; and her beloved dogs Abigail (Abby), Brandon (Bran), and Mattie.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, with the Reverend Roger Frost officiating. Private Burial will be in Kirk Family Cemetery, Sugar Grove, Virginia. The family will receive friends immediately after the memorial service.
