My condolences to you Mrs. Anderson. I was hired by Roger at the bank bakin 1973..40 years ago as a teller. I eventually joined the farm dept at the bank as a farm manager and farm loan officer. Roger and I enjoyed talking sports. Cubs/Cards, ISU, IWU.....we covered them all and then sometime that AM we had to get to work. Kind of lost track of Roger after he retired and I moved on to sell John Deere farm equip. Next thing I know a mutual friend said he had moved to Virginia. My prayers are with you. May God comfort you in this time of your loss. Tom Cross

My sympathy goes out to you, Charlene. I only saw you a couple of times after you and Roger got married. I miss Roger going by the house going to the park on his daily walk. He was a very good man. His parents and mine lived back to back when he was small. Mine lived on Taylor St. He had a sweet mother.

Roger and I attended Bloomington High School at the same time although he was a year ahead of me. I still remember what a great, friendly guy he was. I am sure he will be missed by all.

I am truly saddened to learn of Rogers passing. During high school years and many years following, he and sister Ruth were a very important part of my life. The memories of both and their entire family will always hold a place in my heart. I loved them dearly. Charlene, you have my deepest sympathy. I pray for your comfort and God's help in the days ahead. I am truly sorry for your great loss.

Roger and I grew up together two blocks apart in Bloomington, Illinois -- he on West Jackson and I at the corner of Oakland and Livingston. The passing of many years and the separation of many miles have not altered my high regard for Roger, who leaves a legacy consistent with Proverbs 22:1 -- "A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches" (Proverbs 22:1) and "A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth." (Ecclesiastes 7:1). And so to you I say "The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." (Numbers 6:24-26)

You are in my thoughts and prayers, Charlene, Roger and Eva, Aunt Jennie, Aunt Ruth and Uncle Harvey all were family to Mack and me. They remain in my heart today like the days I shared with them 45 years ago. Their loving actions to me still live. We will look forward to the times we will see them all again and rejoice with them w/joy in Jesus Christ.
