Obituary of Roy Thompson

MARION, VIRGINIA: ROY JAY "THE MOON" THOMPSON, age 60, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Franklin Thompson. Roy is survived by his mother, Bertie Hill Thompson of Marion, Virginia; two brothers, Sherman Thompson of Saltville, Virginia and Jerry Wayne Thompson of Fort Laramie, Wyoming; aunt, Alice Hill Thompson of Marion, Virginia; several nieces and nephews and one special great niece Emmaline "Little Bit" Thompson. At Roy's request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Private burial will be at Linder-Cole Cemetery, Grayson County, Virginia.
