Obituary of Sidney Pafford

MARION, VIRGINIA: SIDNEY S. PAFFORD, SR. age 74, died Monday, May 27, 2013 at his home in Marion, Virginia. He was a great father, grandfather and husband. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mildred Virginia Pafford; parents, Roy and Josie Pafford; brother, Carson Pafford; and a great-grandson, Bobby Jack Moore, Jr. Sidney is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Herman L. and Darlene Pafford of Marion, Virginia; Sidney S., Jr. and Donna J. Pafford of Atkins, Virginia; David R. and Joyce Pafford of Rural Retreat, Virginia; and Charles G. and Heidi P. Pafford of Kingsport, Tennessee; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah Marie and Richard A. Dunford; Sandra Denise and Justin W. Harris, all of Marion, Virginia; two sisters and brother-in-law, Polly Pafford Haga and Mae and Jeff Hutton, all of Marion, Virginia; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Shirley Pafford of Glade Spring, Virginia; Cecil and Patricia Pafford of Chilhowie, Virginia; and Ray and Pat Pafford of Memphis, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins including a special cousin, J.T. Osborne. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend J.T. Osborne officiating. Burial will be private.
