Obituary of Evelyn Stephens

Rusty was born in Atkins, Virginia. She graduated from the University of South Carolina and earned her Masters Degree in Education at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed Temple University and elected to complete all her PHD courses at Temple. Rusty and Robert made their home in Warminster, Pa for over 28 years. Together, they coauthored and published '101 Civil War Battles'. She taught classes at Penn State University and chaired the Reading Department for all schools in the Centennial School District. She taught classes at three of the District's schools, William Tennent HS, Klinger Junior HS, and Log College Junior HS. Rusty loved to travel and dance. Since retiring in 1987, She was able to travel extensively throughout western and eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and Asia. She was an accomplished ballroom dancer and competed in many national competitions. A memorial service will be held at Pasadena Community Church,227 70th St. S,in St. Petersburg, Florida on June 15th, 2013 at 2pm. Rusty survived by her children, Robert L. Stephens, Jr. and his wife, Marylouise, her daughter, Deborah S. Cunningham and her husband, Scott, her grandchildren, Robert L. Stephens, lll, Ryan M. Stephens, Dori Lee Cunningham, and other family and friends. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
