Obituary of Virginia Ball

MARION, VIRGINIA: MRS. VIRGINIA L. BALL, age 80, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at her home in Marion, Virginia. Virginia was born August 6, 1932 in Bear Creek to the late Guy and Edna Aker Parks. She was a member of Falling Water Baptist Church where she made many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Ralph Ball; son, Wilbur Ralph Ball, Jr.; grandson, Vernon Ralph Ball; five brothers and two sisters. Virginia is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Joy B. Poston and husband, Ben of Marion, Virginia; three grandchildren, Michelle Powers of Richlands, Virginia, Candi Poston Rouse of Marion, Virginia, and Heather Ball Patterson of Germany; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Rouse, Kaitlyn Rouse, Dylan Rouse and Aleyshia Leigh-Anne Powers; special friend Stella "Sissy" Pruitt and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Jerry Creasy and Reverend Alvin Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Wassum Cemetery, Atkins, Virginia.
