Obituary of James Vipperman
ATKINS, VIRGINIA: JAMES WALTER VIPPERMAN SR., age 92, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Francis Marion Manor, Marion, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his wife and best friend of 62 years, Eunice Hess Vipperman; infant great-grandson, Brandon Coley; two brothers and two sisters.
James is survived by two sons, James Walter Vipperman Jr. and wife, Brenda of Bland, Virginia, Herman Dewey Vipperman of Rural Retreat, Virginia; one daughter, Martha Larmer of Atkins, Virginia; one sister, Mildred Alexander of Rural Retreat, Virginia; three brothers, Jack Vipperman of Rural Retreat, Virginia, Claude Vipperman of Marion, Virginia, and Eugene Vipperman of Roanoke, Virginia; three grandchildren, Maria Diane Caudill and husband Everett, Michele Hammond and Jamie Vipperman; three great grandchildren, Jessica Caudill, Kristen Caudill and Tyler Hammond; many nieces and nephews; and special caregivers and friends, Carol and Bub Widener.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Reverend Jim Lundy and Reverend Mike Sage officiating. Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery in Camp, Virginia with Military Rites conducted by Francis Marion VFW Post #4667. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
