Obituary of Judson Schleifer

CHILHOWIE, VIRGINIA: JUDSON R. SCHLEIFER, age 79, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at his home in Chilhowie, Virginia. Judson was born November 8, 1933 in Miami, Florida to the late Judson B. and Elizabeth Chappell Schleifer. He graduated from Miami Edison High School in 1952 and then attended Louisiana State University where he played snare drum in the marching band, symphonic band, and Baton Rouge Symphony. He was section leader and snare drummer with the Miami Gold Coasters State Champion Drum and Bugle Corps. Judson was Vice President at Dade National Bank of Miami, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death a brother, Joel Schleifer; an uncle, Dr. Willis "Uncle Doc" Sprinkle and Aunt Erma Sprinkle. He is survived by his daughter, Kim Schleifer; son, Mark Schleifer both of Chilhowie, Virginia; brother, Jeffery B. Schleifer and wife, Patty of Harrisonburg, Virginia; and granddaughter, Tara Schleifer. Funeral Services will be private. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
